The mission of the 501c3 McKinney Avenue Transit Authority (MATA) is to provide safe, reliable and convenient public transportation within Uptown and Downtown Dallas. The M Line maintains, restores and preserves historical trolley cars.
MATA also educates the public on the important role the trolleys played in the development of Dallas and the “Go Green”
benefits of the trolley system for the environment.
